Tandra
If I had written this yesterday, I would have been bubbling with excitement.

If I had written this a few minutes ago, I would have been gushing about WANTED. I finally watched it and in the comfort of my home at that. I'm supposed to go on a movie date soon and debated on whether I should keep Wanted for then but after tumwi dissed Cineplex, in a round about kind of way, I could not allow myself to be one of the saps Cineplex is playing.

Definitely a must watch. If you are like me and do not do that much research before you go see a movie, you will have fun. That is not entirely true, at the minimalist end, I do inquire as to which actor/tress is in the movie. I almost did not watch Wanted because of James McAvoy. Something about that Idi Amin movie- Last king of Scotland- which I have not watched, by the way.

The movie scene choreography in this movie are phenomenal. I know I said if I had written this a few minutes ago I would be gushing and I just did but the movie was fun.

In other news, I am listening to Usher's Here I stand. I am not exactly impressed. Amend that to, I am not impressed. I thought I had finally found a soul mate in "U s her R a y m ond" but i was not meant to be.

on the other hand, after listening to Leona Lewis' Spirit, i conclude that i have landed on the sappiest music I have listened to in a while! You know the type, sweet, soft, melodic... unerringly believing in love and the human goodness... Good for going to sleep on.

In more important news, I want to write something out but the words are refusing to organize themselves. I really do not want to be a victim like Cheri but the way things are going...

I am also in loooooooooove with this song. What I like about You- Jon B n babyface.

What? Oh Tandra! I love you, but could we be any more different?

I hated ‘Wanted’. I thought it was an excuse for McAvoy to buff up and for Morgan Freeman to feed his God Complex – again.

St. Angelina was back again doing that thing that we hate her for doing; i.e. being pneumatic and wooden. What happened to the actress we saw in ‘Mighty Heart’?

‘Wanted’ is a needlessly violent movie in which any attempt at showing human emotion is mechanical and dead. The only real love story going on there is the love of guns. It is a gun fetish movie.

Instead of finding the brief sex scene titillating, the action on the kitchen counter made me think of my own kitchen counter. Had I cleaned it that day? How much money had I left on the little tin near the cookbooks? Is it time to change the lighting in the room?

Oh, and what’s the idea of beating a man within an inch of his life to win him over to your side?

    Oh Tandra!

Loving your new blog look, by the way.

And good on you for not going to Cineplex. Me, I'm going to start seriously servicing the market at the Kisementi parking yard.

    such passion, tumwi.. lol

yes, this is why we sooo different, which makes it even more interesting.

the reason i didnt want to see it was coz according to me McAvoy doesnt come across as the ideal superhero person. He's a "nobody" who will probably bumble through out the movie (which he did potray without being unnecessarily clumsy). He was trained, he got mad skills. (makes you think MAYBE anyone can get skills) of course thats until you listen to the dialogue and realise a thing or two.

Morgan freeman and God complex.. LOL.. totally agree, hadnt thought about it til you mentioned that.

St. Angelina. Havent seen Mighty Heart so wont comment on that particular one.

the movie needed someone to kick ass without going all sappy on us. Angelina with all her P n W, delivered.

Love for guns? needlessly violent? do i detect an anti guns campaign coming on?

    kitchen counter.. lol...

well if u beat him, he crosses over to the evil side much easier...

    thank you...

this is a topic where i can be considered a bit knowledgeable...

tandra, you need to lose that 'issue' of not considering a movie to be worthy coz of 'how can this actor really carry that role'. people were worried about tobey maguire as peter parker and it worked out so well (although the 3rd one was worrying but not because of him). the peeps who are casting know what they are doing. james mcavoy actually did some justice to that character...

at the end of the day, we all have different tastes in stuff... from food to the colour of shoes... one man's meat and all that... so one person might have hated jolie's character in mighty heart but continuously loves the badass chick roles she has mostly been taking like on; mr. and mrs. smith, tombraider and definately wanted.

morgan freeman... i like this actor... in whatever he does... from playing a farmer to his role in bruce almighty to driving miss daisy...

and oh yes i loved wanted.

    First off
Isn’t it funny whenever Tumwi geos lttersFromIwoJima on you’re a**

Hehehe Welcome to my side of town Tandralicious...

Jimmyboi McAvoi (killah rhyme) took that role to school
He played it out really well, and made it funny to see how he could make the role his own

The stunts (though CG) did look dope, the choreography too, and yeah he did show that he could tear it down by proving to us that he can be an erstwhile oblivion sourced actor, to one who is setting the tone for his betterments like MorganFreeman and Ms SexyLips Jolie...

Other than that, it is a huge boy’s movie. And for some ladies too.... though I don’t see a Miss Tumwi-ness making an encore...

Hey, tandra tell Usher that making love in the club is noy recommended on very plush type clubs.... not Club Whatsitsname!

Blogger’s Block be’s buying drinks for everyone it seems

@B2B, dude are you saying I wouldn't bget a "boys' movie"? You'd better not be saying that because I've got a whole load of so and so still left in me.

I like action as much as any other Joe. It's just that I also like a good film. It isn't just a matter of taste - I don't like matooke, but I know how tell good matooke from bad. It's an issue of quality.

Was "Wanted" fun? Sure. Was it a good film? Absolutely not. Was "Hancock" fun? Yes. Was it a good film? Half of it was good, the other half was guys beating up guys for the sake of it. Was the new Incredible Hulk good? No. That was just Shrek turned nasty. Was Iron Man good? Read comments on Hancock above.

Oh and I can go on and on and pull a 27th-like rant, but bambi Tandra wants her blog back. You and me, Mr. B2B will have something to knock heads over at BHH on Thursday.

tumwi has beaten me to posting about wanted, i too watched it in the comfort of my home but not for the reasons you did tandra, i had free leeway but for some reason the idea of going to cineplex seemed such a long stretch! i loved the movie, i kinda feel tired living in the real world and having to watch a few lies likle bending bullets is so it for me, oh and the dfact that there was this blond guy who acted the english hit series 'hustle'( the guy who used to beat up mcavoy when jolie would ask him 'why are you here?" yeah that one! and oh yeah tandra someone i know feels the same way about Mcavoy too like you... this person said 'why of all people did they pick him for that part... it was so.... he is so... i donno...' you get the picture... (not in a nice way by the way)
oh themn maybe you qill like 80 minutes i watched it at home too.... it was...different... tumwi, try it!
