Just read something that worked me up a bit. i hear ".....just like today’s Pastors who preach the prosperity gospel and spend money lavishly on themselves at the expense of poor church members.
That is why I have no kind words for Pastors who mess around regardless of how ‘anointed’ they claim to be. Like some pastors who buy Hummers. Baz called it a sin and the most vulgar behaviour – bringing a Hummer to the 3rd world". The 27th Comrade "Am i Evil enough?
This is my beef.
1. God blesses your life be in all aspects. So if you choose to use the blessings to buy a hummer, so bloody what? its your life, right?
2. The choice of car depends on personal preferance, need and all that. If i choose a BMW over a corolla II, thats my Biz, not yours. U aint the one driving it, u know!!
3. If your pastor is always talking blessings and riches but drives a starlet, how many would still believe that he serves a miracle working God? Be realistic and be real. No one wants a poor pastor preaching about blessings.
4.A hummer doesnt choose which country it goes to...LOL..so bloody what that it ends up in a 3rd world country? its still a country and it was bought and paid for!!
5. Have u seen the potholes in Kampala? Man, all of us need hummers
On further reflection, the truth is world views have also influenced our views on how "rich" a pastor should or should not look. Realistically, if we werent beefing over the guyz hummer, it would be his house, or his shoes or even his hair cut or lack of!! There probably wont ever be that one level that we think should suit our pastors or politicians or even our siblings!!
If a man misuses his office, it was God given, let him take it up with God, we can talk about this til the cows come home but the fact is God knows your inner most deliberations and knows the reasons why you do what you do. When the Bible says God looks for those who worship him in Spirit and Truth (paraphrased ofcource), its the same thing, God knows and man can be quite judgemental.
